The Global Biodata Coalition welcomes membership from a range of organisations who fund life science research, including national, charitable and philanthropic funding bodies as well as commercial organisations, universities, institutes and academic bodies. Our members join the GBC as signatories to our Letter of Understanding and an agreement to contribute funds or in-kind support.
Our Board of Funders is made up of representatives from our member organisations. Jo McEntyre of EMBL-EBI and Henriette Van Eijl of the European Commission currently serve as interim co-chairs of the Board.
GBC 2026-2030 is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement number 101260366. GBC activities are further supported by contributions from our members.
